SOON TO SHINE || Dua Lipa — THE OPINIONATED

Dua Lipa is a name you'll soon be hearing much more often.

Sounds like: A smokier Sia, mixed with Pink and HAIM

Quick Facts: The 21-year old British songstress got her start on YouTube, doing covers of her favorite artists at age 15. While she didn't get discovered on it, she eventually inked a record deal at just 18 years old.

Another fun fact? Her dad is a rockstar in Kosovo.

Recent Hype: She just dropped the music video for her track, "New Rules" (which somewhat reminds us of Jennifer Paige's "Crush"). Her self-titled debut album came in at number five on the UK albums chart and just this year, has been crowned Best New Artist at the Brit Awards and NME Awards.

One of our favorite songs from her self-titled debut album is, "Lost In Your Light" with Miguel. Other must-hear tracks include the Gaga-sounding "Blow Your Mind (Mwah)," "Be The One" and "Hotter Than Hell."

Though, don't do yourself a disservice -- this album needs to be listened to from start to finish. If you aren't familiar yet, you are definitely missing out on some pop music greatness.
